New Plan putting up rolled roofing

OK hopefully you can get an idea of the "New" Plan... we are putting up rolled rubber roofing to stop the water from getting to the edge of the house?? I HOPE>>>> We are putting up a 10 foot wide strip the entire length of the house... heehee...PLEASE work... IF it works we'll cover it with river rock and maybe against the house put up some cement board so that it looks a little nicer??? Or something... my goal right now is that it can rain hard and the basement not leak...
What do you think???

road slope to house

Maybe you can tell by this picture how much higher the road is than the basement level of our house?? A lot of run off going straight to the side of the house that continues to leak...

Dufus in Lawn Chair

Here is a closer look at Dufus... as a puppy he was a "terror"... he chewed up everything and anything... pop cans were shredded, any wires on any car or truck.. anything.... he finally outgrew that phase... but wow was it a trial for a long time..we were afraid for anyone too come and visit for fear what their cars/trucks would look like when they'd leave..

Chihuahua Bullet & the boys

Here is our 4 plus Bullet the neighbors dog that we babysit for off and on.. he is a chihuahua but thinks he is a giant...excuse my dirty door but with the dogs i'm ready to give up trying to keep it clean..

Penny Sue

Here is Penny Sue... she was also a dump dog from a dump litter. The neighbors decided to keep her, and found homes for the rest of the litter, but she always came here to play with our dogs, so when they moved they ask if we'd take her... how could we say no to that face...heehee

Neno

Here is Neno.... he is suppose to be part german shepherd and part collie... he is large and heavy... but the one that stresses the most when we go on vacation...

Powder

This is Powder... I was not going to have any more inside cats.. well Powder never understood that theory... He is always in the middle of whatever is going on.. here is inspecting the drainage pipe before we put it in the ground...He just showed up one day also....

Dufus and Tangles

Here is two of our dogs... Dufus on the left and Tangles on the right.. Dufus is ??? he just showed up one day as a puppy, and Tangles is a "doodle".. he was a rescue from the local shelter.. had been put in a small kennel and left in a barn to die.. the shelter didnt expect him to make it thru the night but decided to give him the chance... lucky for us that the shelter made that decision.. he is a wonderful dog...

moonvine up close

This is an up close picture of the moonvine bloom. They are large and so nice smelling... just wish they bloomed earlier in the season for us...

moonvine bloom

Here is a picture of one of my moonvine blooms. I love this vine, the blooms are quite large and they open in the evening and have a fragrance.. I thought with this angle you could get an idea of the size from the hummingbird feeder..

Another Quilters Choice close up

This Quilters Choice I started out with the bowtie centers and churndashes.. then sent it too the first person on my list and they added the white and pink border then they sent it to the person on their list etc etc..

  • Internet Quilters Choice

  • This is a close up of the Sunbonnet Sam that was added too it..

  • Also the deck of cards and flying geese, etc

Quilters Choice

  1. this is the back of the Quilters Choice.
  2. I embroderied names and dates of the back along with address..
This is another Round Robin from the internet. It was a Quilters Choice and each time the quilt arrived at a new persons home they got too choose the next round to be added to it..
The quilt started out as the square in the center which was what I started with and then sent it too the next person on my list.

Log Cabin

This is the first quilt I ever took lessons too make.. A friend and i took the classes and she was thinking it was really going to be log cabins that we were making.. so she was somewhat surprised.
From going and taking the class for this quilt is how I met Shelby... because I then took some embrodering classes at the same store...

Helping Hands Canada Internet Exchange

  • Internet Exchange from Canada... Helping Hands an Amish pattern
  • the hostess told how many hands to send, as you can see some people didn't do send theirs, so some of mine were sent back, so i used them as the top and bottom borders.

The crew on vacation!!!

Here is the crew when we all went to Orlando..
what a lot of fun we had.. my two sons, their wives, and the 5 grandsons, along with grandpa and me.... grandma Billie...
As you can see we all had matching shirts, made it much easier to find each other in the crowds.. since we were there for a week we had 2 different colored shirts so we had to coordinate with each other what shirt day it was....
Daughter in law also designed the shirts for us and each year we say Annual 2 or 3rd whatever year it is Reeves Vacation...
